Randomosity Records is an independent record company and music lesson studio in Downers Grove —nurturing talent and fostering a vibrant music community. Whether you’re a singer-songwriter, a band, or a solo musician, our services are designed to bring your music to life and help you reach a wider audience.
Randomosity Records was founded by Joel Simpson in 1996 as a part-time venture. In 2001, he transitioned to full-time self-employment as a musician, dedicating himself to music performance, instruction, and production. In 2015, Jennifer Ashley joined the company, bringing her expertise and passion for music. The following year, she committed to full-time self-employment, further strengthening the business partnership.
Joel and Jennifer are also directors of the Two Way Street Coffee House, and also perform as the duo Ashley & Simpson.
Today, Randomosity Records has proudly released over twenty titles under its in-house label. In addition, we’ve supported numerous artists in bringing their musical projects to life. Drawing on extensive industry knowledge and hands-on experience, we actively guide artists through every step of producing, licensing, and releasing their work. Furthermore, our expertise includes navigating the complexities of the Music Modernization Act (2018) and ensuring artists capture all available royalties.
